Best forex brokers for scalping and low costs
Scalpers open and close many trades, so the all-in cost per trade matters more than anything else. These brokers publish raw spreads with a clear commission.
What matters for scalping
Raw spreads from 0.0 pips with a low commission usually cost less than a standard account for frequent traders. Check the round-turn commission (both sides), the platform you will use and whether the broker allows short holding times. See spreads and commissions.
1. IC Markets: raw pricing with the cheapest commission on cTrader
Watch for: Retail clients outside Australia and the EU usually join the Seychelles entity, Raw Trading Ltd, with leverage up to 1:5000 and fewer protections.
2. Pepperstone: raw pricing with no minimum deposit
Watch for: Commission differs by platform; confirm the figure for MT4 or MT5. Read our Pepperstone review.
3. Exness: several raw and zero-spread accounts
Watch for: Retail accounts are usually held offshore, and the very high leverage on offer magnifies losses. Read our Exness review.
4. Eightcap: raw pricing on TradingView
Watch for: No cTrader. Read our Eightcap review.
Work out your cost
On a raw account, a 0.1-pip spread on one standard lot of EUR/USD costs about $1, and $3.50 per side commission adds $7 per round turn, so about $8 in total. Compare that with a standard account's spread at the same size before you choose.

CFDs and leveraged forex are complex and carry a high risk of losing money rapidly. Most retail accounts lose money. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.
