FOREX.com review 2026: US fees, platforms and regulation
FOREX.com has offered forex trading since 2001. US clients trade with GAIN Capital Group LLC, a CFTC-registered futures commission merchant and retail foreign exchange dealer, on a spread-only or RAW pricing account across 80 currency pairs.
We may earn a commission if you open an account through this link. It never affects what we say about a broker or who wins an award. Affiliate disclosure. Leveraged forex trading carries a high risk of losing money rapidly.
Key facts
Fees and spreads
The spread-only account builds the cost into the spread with no commission. The RAW Pricing account has tighter spreads and charges $7 per $100k USD traded. FOREX.com's own pages quote the RAW EUR/USD spread as "as low as 0.0" on its RAW account page and "as low as 0.2" on its account-opening page, so check the live spread before you trade. A VIP program offers cash rebates of up to $10 per million traded for accounts that qualify.
Platforms
US clients can trade on FOREX.com's own web, desktop and mobile platforms, on TradingView and on MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5. FOREX.com says MT4 accounts and demo accounts use spread-only pricing, so if you want RAW pricing, confirm which platforms support it before you open the account. See MT4 vs MT5.
Regulation and legal entities
US accounts are held by GAIN Capital Group LLC. It is registered with the CFTC and is an NFA Forex Dealer Member, so US rules apply: leverage limits of 50:1 on majors, first-in first-out closing and no hedging in the same pair. Check the firm yourself on NFA BASIC using its NFA ID. See US forex rules.
